The many travels of Hershel Bear

This is Hershel Bear.

Hershel will be traveling to Spokane, WA and Lewiston, ID with me this week for Clearwater's Annual IT meeting. Check back often and see what crazy adventures we get into.

<CONFESSION>

OK - Hershel is Hannah's and I told her I'd take him along and post pictures so she could see what was up with Daddy on his trip. She's pretty bummed I'm going to be gone all week, so I figured this would give her something to look forward to each day...

Mother Nature has…?!

I received an email a few weeks back from my corporate office telling me they were going to replace my laptop.

Cool!

All laptops come with a bag, but the ones we've been getting from Dell were horrendous. They were ugly, the laptops didn't fit right, they'd fall apart... You get the idea.

Our corporate purchaser told me to go ahead and find one on my own and just to get it with my company credit card.

Double cool!

On the hunt I was. A few friends have always been fond of the Timbuk2 bags, so I figured I'd check them out. eBags.com has them for 20% off, so I bit. The bag was more than I probably should have spent, but it's on works dime, so what the heck.

Fast forward 1 week.

Here I am sitting in my office, when my bag arrives. I look at the packaging and see this on the back of the bag:

It's a map of San Francisco with locations of where you can buy Timbuk2 bags. What's even cooler is the blurb at the top of the map:

Now call me logical, but Mother Nature has.... never mind. You read the paragraph.

So far the bag looks great. I have yet to load it up, but it got great reviews everywhere and has a million spots for stuff. The cherry on top is the fact that it's TSA compliant, so when I fly in a week, all I have to do is unzip a zipper and lay the bag flat. No fumbling with my laptop!

Here's a link to the bag I got:

Happy Friday

I'm heading to Idaho next month for a geek meeting at corporate. I really hope I have this guy as one of the flight attendants.

What we know about God and what we do for God have a way of getting broken apart in our lives. The moment the organic unity of belief and behavior is damaged in any way, we are incapable of living out the full humanity for which we were created.
